This is an album cover for the CD "Disconnected" by Fates Warning. I haven't actually listened to the album, but I thought the cover artwork was very interesting. I think it does a really good job of creating an almost apocalyptic type of atmosphere. The dull yellow tint that the image has aids quite a bit in the atmosphere.

GDS 120 blog!

This is the blog I used in GDS 108, in which we were to post sketches from our sketchbooks on a weekly basis. I am now going to use this for GDS 120, so enjoy! Here is my first post for the class.

This is a poster design from Lippa Pearce. I love the image and typography used in this piece, and it's very telling of the subject matter.

Here's a sketch of the Street Fighter character Ryu that I did a couple of months ago. I've always liked the Street Fighter games, nothing beats watching 2 sprites beating the crap out of each other.

I felt like drawing some faces this week! I find that drawing a face from head on is kind of boring, I much prefer drawing them from the side or slightly turned. It kind of looks like these two could be staring at each other, which wasn't really my intention when I drew them, but whatever haha. The first image is in pencil, the second one is ink.

I'm not usually one to draw flowers, but I was bored and decided to give it a shot. I liked how it turned out. I'm also enjoying getting used to drawing with a pen rather than a pencil and trying to figure out ways to hide mistakes.

This is a sketch from a photo that I found on the internet. I liked the angle that was used so I tried to replicate it.
